Weekend To-Do: Hot Springs Environmental Film Festival

Garvan Woodland Gardens and the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute will present the inaugural Hot Springs Environmental Film Festival, April 24-26 at the historic Malco Theater (819 Central Avenue) in Hot Springs. The objective of the three-day event is to inspire environmental awareness through educational and adventure films. After Friday night’s showing of Fighting Goliath: Texas Coal Wars, there will be a Q & A with expert panelists, which includes our own Eddy Moore.   1. I have a copy of this DVD that James Burke had given me while he was here in Little Rock. If anyone hasn’t seen it, and can’t attend the screening in Hot Springs, I would be glad to loan it to them or arrange a showing here in Little Rock. It’s a MUST SEE film for anyone who has the least bit of interest the coal issue.
