I love blueberries and blackberries. Last year I froze several bags of them and made mixed berry smoothie, buckle, and ice cream throughout the year. Freezing berries is SUPER easy. In fact, it’s easier than freezing strawberries. Here’s what you do:
- Sort, wash gently, and drain.
- Pack in containers, leaving 1/2 inch of headroom.
- Seal; freeze.
I use one-gallon plastic bags to freeze my berries. Last year I froze so many that Eddy and I are still eating berries from last year. Hey, we aren’t complaining.
So this weekend, grab some berries at the Certified Arkansas Farmers’ Market and freeze ’em!
