i love clean energy sign

On June 26, 2009, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009 (ACES) by a vote of 219-212.  This landmark climate change legislation requires that the United States reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 17% by 2020. ACES also requires electricity providers to produce 20% of their electricity from renewable sources by 2020. Representative Vic Snyder voted yes on the bill. Representatives Mike Ross, Marion Berry, and John Boozeman voted no. Now the bill is under consideration in the Senate.
