Wednesday To-Do: ADEQ to Hold Public Hearing on Commercial Drilling Fluids Storage Facility in Franklin County


The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) will hold a public meeting and hearing August 26, 2009, at Ozark to accept comments on a permit application for construction, operation and maintenance of commercial drilling fluids storage and land application facility in Franklin County. The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the Franklin County Courthouse, 211 West Commercial, in Ozark. An ADEQ hearing officer will be present at the event to accept formal comments on the proposal.

Only oral or written comments submitted at the public hearing will be considered by the ADEQ in its decision-making process involving the permit application, and the public comment period will close when the hearing adjourns.
