The Little Rock Sustainability Commission meets every 4th Friday of each month between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the Willie L. Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center (3805 W. 12th) in Little Rock. Meetings are open to the public. Public comments are heard at the end of each meeting.
The Little Rock Sustainability Commission formed in Spring 2008 at the recommendation of a City Manager-appointed task force that examined the opportunities and benefits of a sustainability policy for the City of Little Rock. The commission’s purpose is to serve as a liaison between the Citizens of Little Rock and the City of Little Rock’s City Manager, Mayor, Board Directors, and Departments on matters relating to the sustainability of the City. Membership consists of seven to fifteen residents of Little Rock appointed by the Mayor.
