Frecycle them! The Freecycle Network lets its members give and get stuff for free in their own towns. Made up of 4,871 groups with 6,843,000 members across the globe, Freecycle is a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement aimed at promoting waste reduction. From silverware to junk cars, people worldwide are choosing to Freecycle rather than discard.
I mainly use Freecycle to get rid of unwanted stuff. I’ve gotten rid of everything from perfume, stuffed animals, clothes and necklaces. Last time I moved, I packed everything I wanted to take to the new place and invited Freecyclers to come to my apartment at a certain time to take the rest. I had about 20 people to come! After they left, I had about half a box of stuff to take to Goodwill. It was the easiest moving experience I’ve ever had!
Sure, I’ve had a few people who said they wanted my stuff but never came. Other than that, my Freecycling experience has been great.
So, don’t just throw away your unwanted Christmas gifts. Instead, Freecycle them!
