Conway Advocates for Bicycling (CAB) will host a bicycling educational session from 7-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 23 in the Social Room of Buffalo Alumni Hall on the University of Central Arkansas. The presentation will include information on how to find a proper route, how to ride safely with children, and a child’s-eye-view video of what it is like to ride across Conway.
CAB is a nonprofit organization working to promote bicycling in Conway and in surrounding communities in Faulkner County.
The mission of CAB is to encourage the development and use of facilities (bike paths, routes, lanes and trails) for bicycling; provide educational information for both bicyclists and motorist, and to defend the rights of bicyclists; provide bicycle safety training; and sponsor activities that provide more opportunities for the citizens of Conway to enjoy bicycling.
CAB is also working with the city to help Conway become an official Bicycle-Friendly Community as defined by the League of American Bicyclists.
CAB hosts four bicycling socials and four educational sessions per year that are free and open to the public. For more info about CAB and its activities, visit www.cycleconway.org or contact email@example.com or (501) 499-9334.
