Wednesday To-Do: Audubon Leader to Discuss the Group’s Response to Gulf Oil Disaster

WHAT: Why Birds Matter – From the Gulf of Mexico to the Arkansas Delta

WHEN: Wednesday, Sept. 29 – 6:30 P.M.

WHERE: Fayetteville Public Library – Walker Community Room

Delta Willis, Senior Communications Manager with the National Audubon Society, will discuss the group’s response to the Gulf oil disaster.

Originally from the Arkansas Delta, Ms. Willis is a graduate of the University of Arkansas.

Ms. Willis will be joined by Kevin Pierson, regional conservation director for Audubon’s Mississippi River Initiative in Fayetteville.

The program is free, and the public is invited. A meet and greet reception will follow the presentation.

The event is sponsored by the Fayetteville Public Library, the University of Arkansas Applied Sustainability Center, Audubon Arkansas and the Arkansas Chapter of the Sierra Club.
