Tuesday To-Do: Repower America Made in America Jobs Tour Roundtable in LR

made in americaRepower Arkansas, a project of the Alliance for Climate Protection, is hosting a roundtable discussion highlighting the benefits to Arkansas families and businesses of transitioning to a clean energy economy.

According to the Center for American Progress, transitioning to a clean energy economy will create more than 18,000 jobs here in Arkansas while reducing harmful carbon pollution and breaking our dependence on foreign oil.

In the last year, Repower America has drawn together a membership of over 7,800 Arkansans in support of strengthening Arkansas’s booming clean energy economy. On August 20th, the Alliance for Climate Protection and the Blue Green Alliance kicked off the nationwide Made in America Jobs Tour and are partnering on several events across the country through September.

The campaign is funded by the Climate Protection Action Fund, a nonprofit organization and the project of the Alliance for Climate Protection, a group that was founded in 2006 by former Vice President Al Gore.
