Kudos to Senator Altes! This is a matter which should have been taken care of years ago. My wife and I have a collection of cloth shopping bags which we use regularly – there is no inconvenience, and these bags are much sturdier (less chance of their tearing on the way to the house). The mess made by plastic bags is foolish and selfish. I’m not a “tree hugger” either, but stupid is stupid no matter what your sympathies!
